My History with Motorcycles

Looking backwards at my history with Motorcycles

As most Motorcycle enthusiasts, I too have had several Bikes.
From Dirt to Street, is how it went for me.First a Minibike,
then a Yamaha 100 to a TM400,RM250,CR125,YZ125,the 91RM250 was the last of my Dirtbike days..Damm I miss em. :-)

My first Streetbike was an early Honda 350Twin.
Next my longest owned Bike, a 83Honda Nighthawk 650.
The Mighty Max was next. And armed with the seemingly endless resources of the VMOA
I went to work on my new passion (Obsession :-) The....Mighty Max....
Followed by a clean 82KZ 1000 for my rider while the Max was under Construction, the Kaw was sold shortly after.

With all the Mods on the Max. I felt the need to preserve the condition of which it is in . So I decided to purchase a 91FJ1200 with 5800 miles , to help share the miles
that I planned on riding. Which proved to be an awesome Sport Tourer, after attending several events at Deals Gap and
Boone N\C with the  FJ Owner'sClub

As my Riding skills improved, so did my desire to push to new limits. But handling problem's with the FJ came up as a result. And while researching the handling issue and the cost of these improvements. I stumbled on a FJ website of where another Rider that had purchased a Thunderace\ YZF1000 to deal with this issue.
(Thunderace\YZF1000) Great speed, handling and decend comfort . A bike that was rated best all around Sportbike of the year in 1997. I found it to be confidence inspiring and fun to Ride :-)

As with many other Rider's the itch to ride on a track has
been workin on me  (Big time :-)  For that ! I needed a Track
Bike, something reasonable  in case I had scrap the whole idea for whatever reason . And something competetive as
to be able to have a fair chance of keeping up . That is how
I ended up with a 99 ZXR6 . So far I am very happy with it
but plans for an R6 are in the mix  :-)  After all why NOT all Yamaha's. :-)
